Hey beautiful soul . How's your heart ?
My name is Masingita Mbalenhle Mashaba , I am 18 years old , well I'm turning 19 in only a few months from now . If you're reading this ...then we're friends, officially.
I am a such a lover girl , this is why I created this blog . I want to write you love letters that will you make you fall in love with yourself , all over again. This is also a platform for me , to do one of the many things God has called me for . To impact lives through my interests ( hahaha ) . I never want any of the things I write here to sound formal but it should really feel like you're reading a love letter. You see that smile you make when that guy writes you an "I love you " note , yes that's the smile I want you to have whenever you read on this blog . Wait tell me , do they still write love letters?
To tell you a little bit about myself , I was born and raised in a household that valued Christ . Dad was a pastor and when he passed on , mom followed in his footsteps. In the past years , I experienced Christ for myself, outside of what I received from my parents and it's safe to say , I love Christ . I am a Fan and Lover of Jesus . And everything I do ...revolves around that part of my life . I live for Christ and being in alignment with His plan for my life , and this blog is one of the many steps I take daily to do that . So , the foundation of this blog and everything I do is built around Him . Alright ?I have so many friends , yes including you . I am surrounded by a great force of love through friendship and sisterhood .
Growing up , I've always known there was something different about me , especially when I entered my early teen years . I loved loved reading , I was never without a book . I was fortunate to have a father that believed so much in me , in fact I always say that my success story would be nothing without acknowledging my father . He believed in me and he was confident that I'd go far , stand on global stages and be a beacon of hope . I believe that too . I believe in the power of my voice. To impact and bring about change . I am mostly interested in the media space , and I would love to be a Journalist one day , if not a lawyer and I think there's so much change for me to bring in that space as a whole . To use media and the cyber space as a whole to firstly teach the gospel and secondly bring about change . I aim to do all of that with only my voice , nothing much .
I created this blog for us , to bond and spend quality time together. I want to write you love letters. I want to make you feel loved . I want to pour my heart out to you here . This is a safe space.
Do you like podcasts ? Well I hope your answer is yes because there's something I want you to listen to , and that's my podcast on Spotify. Oh yes , we have a podcast as well . See there's so much you're going to discover about me as we go on . So how about you stay longer? I named the podcast - The Self Love Lounge Podcast , because when the vision came , I was drinking coffee, at home in my mother's lounge. It's almost as if , whenever I sit in that lounge all the time , God plants a dream in my heart . That's also how the idea of the blog was birthed , not only to grow my name , as a brand and growing the podcast but to encourage the beautiful concept of loving one self and journeying with others as you go on about that .
I love you so much, and I'm grateful that you found yourself here . You are my answered prayer . It is my wish that you stay longer , there's so much you and I have to catch up on . Right ?
With each episode I release on the podcast , I'm going to come back here and write my heart away about it . Trust me , I am also finding myself and learning this way and there's no greater thing than doing all of that with you , by my side . One of the thing I am praying to God to help me with is commitment and consistency. I am a huge procrastinator but I promise to always be here on time , when you need me .
This is a start of great things . I look forward to what the Lord is going to do .
